David Hall

We raise, give, and now invest money in nonprofit agencies, community initiatives, and the Episcopal Church.  Phyllis and I believe that working with other passionate people, we can make a difference and improve the world where we live.  I started ThinkGiving to be a resource development office on demand for small and medium size nonprofits and churches in the Birmingham, Alabama area who want to make change. 

Over the years, I've worked as the Executive Director of The ARC MidSouth in Memphis, Tennessee; Vice President of Planned Giving at United Way of Central Alabama; Chief Development Officer of the YMCA of Greater Birmingham.  I have also worked with the Episcopal Dioceses of Alabama and West Tennessee in capital campaigns, Stewardship, and parish development.

 Perhaps most importantly, we live in Birmingham and know the people, companies, and foundations that give generously to the agencies making a difference in our community.  Phyllis and I volunteer and give.   We serve on boards and committees with Red Mountain Theater Company, the Episcopal Diocese of Alabama, Sunrise Rotary Club of Birmingham, and the YMCA of Greater Birmingham.  We are members of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Mountain Brook and Phyllis is Vice Chair of Shook and Fletcher, an industrial construction and supply company headquartered in Birmingham.
